In collaboration with the Communauté Juive Libérale de Genève, the Austria Society of Geneva invited to the commemoration evening of the “Night of Broken Glass” on November 9, 1938 in the Liberal Synagogue of Geneva. In memory of the contemporary witness Abraham Gafni (born 1928 as Erich Weinreb in Innsbruck, deceased in February 2022 and recipient of the Cross of Merit of the City of Innsbruck) the documentary film “My Israeli Friend” by director Hermann Weiskopf was screened. The sixteen life pictures of the Austrian artist Jacqueline Seeber that appear in the film were exhibited as an accompaniment.
